Welding-Focused Responsibilities
Prepare metal surfaces and components for welding, ensuring proper fit?up and alignment.
Position, clamp, or secure components using proper tools and rigging methods.
Assist with weld inspection preparation, including cleaning and finalizing weld areas.
Follow all welding safety protocols, including correct use of PPE such as face shields, welding helmets, FR clothing, and gloves.
Ensure proper ventilation and safe working conditions in all welding areas.
Mechanical-Focused Responsibilities
Support mechanical installation tasks, including basic pipe fitting, placement, and alignment.
Assist with installing industrial equipment or structural components under the direction of a supervisor.
Participate in mechanical troubleshooting and equipment adjustments as needed.
Handle tools and materials safely while following mechanical safety procedures and lockout/tagout requirements where applicable.
